Dream Sculpture A1

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut bibendum tortor sit amet ligula rutrum, at porta tortor convallis ...

This sculpture transcribes a REM-state apparition into a diagram of luminous recursion, where mythopoeic memory and commercial mythology coalesce within a neon matrix. The work is composed of acrylic, argon, glass, neon, rubber, and transformer on powder-coated steel, which occupies the interstice between cultural nostalgia and celestial allegory. Its ternary structure, modelled after the North Star system, recalls the domestic intimacy of a child’s Cinderella bedsheet while indexing the ideological arc of the so-called American Dream. The sculptural form refracts not only light but also longing—its spectral geometry recalling the solar eclipse as both obstruction and initiation. Drawing upon gnostic ritual, recovery modalities, and classical animation, Kyle Yip renders this artifact not as a fixed icon but as a mnemonic interface through which viewers may triangulate their own unrealized aspirations. Within this topology, fantasy and futurity circulate without closure, offering instead a suspended state of introspective orbit, where wish, will, and world remain delicately entangled.

Love the new artwork in my office and living room. It lifts us up everyday, acts as a conversation piece in Zoom calls, and we love the most being able to support artists in our communities as well.
